Eastern Bank Limited (EBL) is offering the convenience of withdrawing money from ATM booths at 16 metro stations in Dhaka.
In a press release sent by EBL on Friday, it was stated that the bank is the 'first' to introduce banking services at metro stations in Bangladesh.
The bank's Managing Director and CEO, Ali Reza Iftekhar, and the Managing Director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL), Md. Abdur Rouf, inaugurated the 'EBL 365' ATM booth at the Mirpur-11 metro station on Friday.
Ali Reza Iftekhar remarked, “With the inauguration of this ATM service, we have made banking services more accessible and convenient for metro passengers. This initiative is part of our commitment to providing modern banking services to our customers.”
The event was also attended by the bank’s Deputy Managing Director M. Khorshed Anwar, Head of Communication and External Affairs Ziaul Karim, Head of Digital Financial Services Ahsan Ullah Chowdhury, Head of Digital Banking and ADC Departments Amin Md. Mehedi Hasan, and Head of Digital Business and ADC Support Systems Mir Rehan Imtiaz.
