The French Ambassador calls on the Minister of State for ICT
The French Ambassador to Bangladesh Marie Masdupuy called on the Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak at the ICT Tower in Agargaon on Sunday. During this time, they discussed the economic progress of Bangladesh, France's famous IT training based educational Institution School 42 and various issues related to the ICT sector.
The Minister of State highlighted the Ambassador about the success of Digital Bangladesh and the plan to build a Smart Bangladesh by 2041 based on the four main pillars: Smart Citizen, Smart Society, Smart Economy and Smart Government. He said, we are giving special importance to startups, innovation and research in building a smart Bangladesh. They agreed on Bangladesh-France startup exchange and launch of Bangladesh IT Connect portal in France to develop startup culture.
In the meeting, the state minister pointed out that there is an excellent environment for investment in Bangladesh and said that the government is providing many facilities in the field of foreign investment. French businessmen will benefit if they take this advantage and invest in Bangladesh. Bangladesh has huge investment opportunities in infrastructure development sector including ICT sector.
Ambassador Marie Masdupuy praised the development of various sectors of Bangladesh in the past 14 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The ambassador said that in a short period of time, various sectors including the ICT sector of Bangladesh have seen great development. In the coming days, Bangladesh will advance in various sectors including information technology. The Ambassador expressed hope that friendly and cooperative relations between Bangladesh and France will deepen in the coming days.
