Bangladesh Denies Drone Deployment Near Indian Border
The Press Wing of Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser refuted claims that drones were deployed along the West Bengal border. Reports by India Today alleging the deployment of Turkey-made Bayraktar TB2 drones were dismissed as “false and fabricated.”
In a verified Facebook post on Saturday, the Press Wing stated, “Bangladesh has not deployed drones anywhere in the country beyond routine activities.” A defense ministry spokesperson labeled the report a “concocted campaign against Bangladesh.”
India Today claimed heightened tensions led to the alleged deployment near India’s sensitive “Chicken Neck” area.
