AI Builders Assemble: Bangladesh Set for Mega ‘Infinity AI BuildFest 2026’ Innovation Marathon
Bangladesh is set to host one of its largest artificial intelligence gatherings as preparations have been completed for ‘The Infinity AI BuildFest 2026’, a nationwide AI hackathon aimed at accelerating AI-driven innovation, software development, and technology entrepreneurship. Organized by CloudCamp Bangladesh in collaboration with BRAC University, the day-long event will take place on June 12 at the university’s campus in Dhaka.
According to the organizers, the event will be the largest AI builder congregation in the country’s history, bringing together more than 1,000 AI developers, innovators, and technology entrepreneurs under one roof.
More than 3,500 participants from across Bangladesh have already registered for the competition. Although over 600 teams applied, a rigorous selection process narrowed the field to 208 teams for the final round. During the online screening phase, participants submitted a one-page project summary along with a three-minute video presentation. Teams were selected based on evaluations conducted by expert judges across five innovation tracks.
In the final competition, participants will showcase production-ready AI solutions addressing real-world challenges in five sectors: EdTech, MarTech, HealthTech, E-commerce, and InfoTech. Industry experts believe the event could provide fresh momentum to Bangladesh’s AI ecosystem by connecting universities, startups, and emerging innovators on a common platform.
One of the event’s key attractions will be the “Infinity Vibe Coding to Production Challenge.” In this competition, 100 selected participants will be required to build and deploy a complete AI application within 60 minutes using only five prompts. Organizers view the challenge as a practical demonstration of the future of AI-assisted software engineering.
Beyond technological innovation, the event also aims to foster employment, higher education opportunities, and investment connections through its “Opportunity Connect” initiative. Participants will be able to engage in pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings with investors, recruiters, and higher education advisors, potentially opening pathways to jobs, research scholarships, and startup funding.
Throughout the day, experienced technology professionals will conduct mentoring sessions to support teams in project development, architecture review, and presentation preparation. Specialized workshops will also cover AI-native architecture, prompt engineering, and agentic AI solution development. Meanwhile, ten expert judging panels will assess projects based on innovation, technical excellence, business viability, and social impact.
Bangladeshi technology professionals working abroad are also joining the initiative. Experts from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, the United Arab Emirates, and Australia will collaborate with participating teams, providing exposure to global standards and industry practices.
Speaking about the event, Mohammad Mahdi-Uz-Zaman, Founder and Chairman of CloudCamp Bangladesh, said that AI BuildFest is more than a conventional competition. Participants will not only develop software but also create solutions to real-world problems while working alongside internationally experienced experts. He noted that the broader goal is to help transform Bangladeshi youth into globally competitive technology builders.
A total of 15 teams will receive awards, including champions and runners-up from the five competition domains, as well as winners of the Vibe Coding Challenge. Champion teams will receive BDT 50,000, runners-up BDT 30,000, and Vibe Challenge winners BDT 10,000 each. Winners will also receive certificates, crests, and opportunities to showcase their projects on international platforms.
The event’s strategic partner is Bangladesh Research and Information Network (BdREN). Supported by universities, technology companies, startups, research organizations, and corporate partners, the initiative is being regarded as one of Bangladesh’s largest AI-focused gatherings. Organizers hope it will produce innovative solutions capable of addressing local challenges while demonstrating Bangladesh’s technological capabilities on the global stage.
