Kaspersky Adds AI-Powered Features to Strengthen Cloud Security
Global cybersecurity firm Kaspersky has introduced new AI-driven features to enhance the effectiveness of its cloud-based security system. In its latest update, the integration of the OpenAI API into Kaspersky Container Security (KCS) has enabled a new Advanced Pro license capability within the product.
On Sunday (March 8), Kaspersky Bangladesh stated that the technology will automatically provide contextual explanations of identified security vulnerabilities and potential risks. This will help accelerate the investigation process while enabling security teams to make faster decisions. Designed for modern DevOps and hybrid cloud environments, the solution ensures centralized monitoring across multiple workloads, Kubernetes clusters, and cloud platforms.
According to Anton Rusakov-Rudenko, Senior Product Marketing Manager for Cloud and Network Security at Kaspersky, the new update will enrich container image scanning results with automated explanations and risk analysis generated using third-party Large Language Models (LLMs).
He said, “As the pace of AI adoption increases across industries, organizations are becoming increasingly dependent on container-based environments. This also creates additional pressure on security teams. To ease this burden, we have integrated AI into Kaspersky Cloud Workload Security. Through this, cybersecurity professionals—especially those new to container security—will gain clearer insights into potential risks and vulnerabilities, enabling them to make quicker decisions. Combined with performance improvements and expanded integration capabilities, this solution will help organizations secure their cloud environments more effectively while maintaining operational stability.”
Kaspersky added that the latest update also introduces Single Sign-On (SSO) integration and multi-domain Active Directory support, which will simplify system management at scale. To improve performance, the image scanning process has been further optimized, and necessary updates have been made to the UX/UI. In addition, updates to the Light Agent component have enhanced overall security capabilities across Windows and Linux platforms.
