Apple Inc. is reportedly planning to launch its next budget-friendly MacBook in new colors. Targeting students and corporate users, the company has experimented with light yellow, pastel green, blue, and pink versions of the laptop, according to Engadget.

In addition to these three colors, the design has also been tested in the traditional silver and dark gray shades. However, it remains uncertain which colors will appear in the final release.

The report indicates that the new MacBook will also come at a relatively lower price, expected to range between $699 and $799. To reduce costs, Apple may use smartphone-grade processors and scale back on some technical features.

Despite these cost-saving measures, the structural quality will be maintained by using a body made of advanced aluminum rather than plastic. Indications suggest that the formal announcement of the new MacBook could take place in March.
