Netflix-NASA Nexus to Launch Live Space Streams

In a joint announcement on Monday, Netflix and NASA revealed that the streaming platform will begin broadcasting live space programming as early as next summer. The news was first reported by TechCrunch.
Under the agreement, Netflix subscribers will gain real-time access to rocket launches, astronaut spacewalks, and live views of Earth from the International Space Station. Additionally, content from NASA+, the agency’s ad-free streaming app launched in 2023, will be made available through the platform.
Netflix has already ventured into live content with stand-up comedy, award shows, and special events. Its new partnership with NASA marks a significant step toward expanding its live programming portfolio with scientific and exploratory content.
Previously, NASA collaborated with Prime Video to launch a live FAST (Free Ad-supported Streaming TV) channel and has also been distributing NASA+ content for free via YouTube and its official website.
