BNP Delegation Visits BYD Factory, Engages in Bilateral Talks in China

A high-level delegation from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), led by Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, visited the Shenzhen factory of Chinese automobile manufacturer BYD, the world’s largest electric vehicle producer.
The nine-member BNP delegation included Standing Committee members Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, and Selima Rahman; Chairperson’s Advisory Council member Ismail Zabihullah; Professor Sukomal Barua; Zahid Uddin Swapon; Head of the Media Cell Dr. Mowdud Hossain Alamgir Pavel; and ABM Abdus Sattar, Private Secretary to the BNP Chairperson.
On the third day of their China visit, June 25, the delegation toured the BYD headquarters, gaining insights into the company's advanced electric vehicle technologies.
Details of the visit were shared in a statement issued by BNP’s Media Cell late Wednesday night (June 26), signed by Shayrul Kabir Khan.
On the same day, the BNP team held a meeting with Zhao Yide, Secretary of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and a Standing Committee Member of the Shaanxi People’s Congress.
The meeting focused on fostering bilateral trade, enhancing cooperation in higher education, and promoting collaboration in high-tech innovation. Following the meeting, senior Chinese officials hosted a formal dinner in honor of the visiting BNP delegation.
