Canon and Creativity Converge: Smart Technologies Launches Canon Business Center in Dhaka
Smart Technologies (BD) Ltd., one of Bangladesh's leading tech firms, has officially inaugurated the Canon Business Center on Begum Rokeya Sarani in Dhaka. Designed as an innovative, creative, and customer-centric hub, the center offers a complete Canon experience under one roof and is divided into three specialized zones tailored for customers, professionals, and tech enthusiasts.
The Canon Business Engineering Division focuses on providing after-sales support and maintenance for Canon’s printing and imaging products. The Experience Zone is an interactive space where visitors can engage directly with Canon’s latest technologies and witness live product demonstrations. Meanwhile, the Videography Zone is designed for content creators, YouTubers, videographers, and filmmakers, offering a fully equipped shooting area along with Canon’s professional cinema cameras, photography gear, live-streaming equipment, and a vast collection of lenses.
The center was officially inaugurated by Toshiyuki “Tiger” Ishii, President and CEO of Canon Singapore Pvt. Ltd., and Mohammad Zahirul Islam, Managing Director of Smart Technologies (BD) Ltd. The launch event was followed by a comprehensive business session led by Noor Md. Shahriar, Business Head of the Canon division at Smart Technologies.
Also in attendance were senior officials from Canon Singapore Pvt. Ltd., including Norihiro “Nick” Katagiri, Senior Vice President (Digital Printing & Business Solutions Operations), Ko Chi Yan Andrew, Senior Vice President (Domestic Operation Group), and Ichinomiya Takashi, Director (Regional, ICP).
During the visit to Smart’s head office, Mohammad Zahirul Islam gave Canon representatives a guided tour. The delegation was joined by Abu Mostafa Chowdhury Sujan, Deputy Managing Director of Smart Technologies; Jafar Ahmed, Director of Distribution Business; Mujahid Al Beruni Sujan, Channel Sales Director; members of the Canon team, and other senior officials.
At the inauguration, Toshiyuki “Tiger” Ishii expressed his appreciation for the warm hospitality of the Bangladeshi people. He also conveyed optimism about expanding Canon’s business in the Bangladeshi market through a stronger partnership with Smart Technologies.
