ICT Division Honors Outgoing Secretary Kazi Anwar Hossain at Farewell Reception

The Information and Communication Technology Division accorded a farewell reception to outgoing Secretary Kazi Anwar Hossain following his transfer to a new posting.

The farewell ceremony was held on Thursday, June 4, at the ICT Division conference room, with Faqir Mahbub Anam, Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology as well as Science and Technology, attending as the chief guest.

The event was presided over by Acting Secretary of the ICT Division Md. Mamunur Rashid Bhuiyan. Special guest at the ceremony was Rehan Asif Asad, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, and Science and Technology Affairs.

Senior officials and employees of the ICT Division and its affiliated departments and agencies also attended the reception.

Speaking at the event, the minister highly praised Kazi Anwar Hossain’s professional competence, dedication to duty, and extensive administrative experience. He recalled the outgoing secretary’s contributions to the development of the country’s ICT infrastructure and wished him continued success in his future professional responsibilities as well as a long and prosperous personal life.

Other senior officials of the ICT Division also shared their experiences of working with him and highlighted various exemplary aspects of his dynamic and accomplished career in public administration.

In his farewell remarks, Kazi Anwar Hossain reflected on his tenure at the ICT Division and shared memories of the working environment he experienced during his service. He expressed his sincere gratitude and respect to the minister, adviser, and his colleagues for their wholehearted cooperation and support in carrying out his responsibilities throughout his tenure.
