To take on strong competitors like Samsung and Xiaomi, Oppo has launched its long-awaited camera-focused smartphone, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra. Unveiled in the global market on Tuesday, the flagship device features advanced camera hardware designed to challenge any smartphone currently available.

The phone’s standout feature is its camera setup. The Oppo Find X9 Ultra is equipped with a massive 200-megapixel primary sensor measuring 1/1.12 inches. It also includes another 200-megapixel 3x telephoto lens and a 50-megapixel 10x optical zoom lens. The camera system has been co-developed with renowned camera manufacturer Hasselblad. Additionally, the device supports the attachment of a “teleconverter lens” for professional photographers, enabling optical zoom of up to 13x.

For performance, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. To ensure extended usage, it features a large 7,050mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 100W SuperVOOC charging. The 6.82-inch display offers a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,600 nits.

In terms of video capabilities, the device is equally powerful, becoming Oppo’s first phone to support 8K video recording at 30 fps. The handset will be available in two attractive color options: “Canyon Orange” and “Tundra Amber.”

Sales of the phone will begin in the United Kingdom on 8 May, with a price set at £1,449, or approximately Tk 2,30,000. The device will soon be available in other markets across Asia and Europe.
