Bangladesh’s telecommunications service provider Grameenphone is supporting Hajj pilgrims from Bangladesh with convenient Hajj roaming services. Through this offering, pilgrims will be able to stay connected with their loved ones during their religious journey in Saudi Arabia using their own Grameenphone connections.
The information was disclosed in a press release issued by Grameenphone on Tuesday, 21 April.
Grameenphone customers can easily activate any Hajj roaming pack through the MyGP app using their mobile balance (in Taka). With this roaming service, customers will no longer need any credit or debit card, dollar endorsement, or a separate SIM card in Saudi Arabia. Both prepaid and postpaid customers can conveniently use these roaming packs.
Considering diverse customer needs, Grameenphone has introduced multiple affordable roaming packs with validity periods of 15 days and 45 days. These packs offer incoming and outgoing call minutes along with full-speed data. Under the “Unlimited Internet Hajj Pack,” even after the allocated data is exhausted, customers can continue to use the internet at speeds of up to 1 Mbps for the remaining validity period. Customers who have a 5G handset and are within Grameenphone’s 5G coverage will also be able to access 5G services in Saudi Arabia.
