CUET Concludes Capacity Workshop on Sanitation in Low-Income Urban Areas
A two-day training workshop titled "Sanitation for Urban Low-Income Communities", organized by the Department of Civil Engineering at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) in collaboration with the International Training Network (ITN) of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), successfully concluded on Thursday, August 7.
The workshop included six technical sessions and a practical field training session at the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Halishahar, Chattogram. A total of 70 trainees from CUET's Civil Engineering Department participated in the program. Certificates were distributed among the participants at the closing ceremony.
The concluding session was held at the department’s seminar room, with CUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan attending as the chief guest.
Special guests included Professor Dr. Sudip Kumar Pal, Dean of the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Professor Dr. Ayesha Akhtar, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering. The session was chaired by Professor Dr. Asiful Haque, Director of the Institute of River, Harbor, and Environmental Science.
The event was anchored by Mr. Jusan Abdullah, Research Assistant of the Department of Civil Engineering.
