BYD Begins Delivery of Sealion 6, Signaling a Bold Step in Bangladesh’s EV Sector
Leading electric vehicle manufacturer BYD Bangladesh has officially handed over its latest model, the Sealion 6, to its first group of customers. At a formal event held at the BYD Service Center in Dhaka, six new owners received the keys to their vehicles, marking the start of their journey with the brand.
The ceremony was attended by Hafizur Rahman Khan, Chairman of CG Runner BD Limited, and Zhang Ji, Deputy General Manager of BYD Asia Pacific. Both dignitaries congratulated the new owners and reiterated BYD's commitment and vision for the electric vehicle (EV) sector in Bangladesh.
Customers and their families were welcomed to the BYD Bangladesh showroom in Tejgaon, where a presentation was given on the features, performance, and technology of the Sealion 6. The vehicle handover segment of the event took place at the BYD Service Center, where the symbolic transfer of keys marked the beginning of ownership for the new customers.

The BYD Sealion 6, a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) with a combined range of over 1,000 kilometers, was launched in the Bangladeshi market in February this year. With this model, BYD hopes to lead the innovation and technological transformation of the country’s EV industry.
Available in four color options—Harbor Grey, Arctic White, Delan Black, and Stone Grey—the Sealion 6 boasts features such as a panoramic sunroof, a premium Infinity 10-speaker audio system, and ventilated front seats. It also offers Eco, Normal, and Sport driving modes, supported by regenerative braking for enhanced performance.
Additional highlights include a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, voice assistant, dual-zone air conditioning with PM2.5 filtration, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), a 360-degree HD camera, six airbags, and a high NEDC rating. The car is equipped for seamless connectivity with Apple CarPlay (wired), Android Auto (wireless), multiple USB ports, and a wireless phone charger.
