Bangladesh Government Refutes False Claims About Hindu Employment Ban
A post on the X handle of “Times Algebra” has falsely claimed that the Bangladesh government has banned Hindus from entering public service.
In a statement, the Press Wing of the Chief Adviser dismissed the claim as entirely baseless.
On Thursday (January 2), the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing issued a statement on its verified Facebook page, “CA Press Wing Facts,” stating, “The claim made in the post on X about banning Hindus from public service is completely false.”
The statement further emphasized that the Bangladesh government does not discriminate against any citizen based on religion.
It also clarified that the quote attributed to the Adviser for Home Affairs mentioned in the post is entirely fabricated.
In recent times, various rumors targeting the interim government have been circulating on social media, aiming to spread confusion. To combat such misinformation, the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing has launched a fact-checking Facebook page.
