BAUATH Hosts Annual Get-Together at BAU

Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) hosted its annual get-together and admission season evaluation event, "Samikhan 1.0." This event was organized by the Bangladesh Agricultural University Admission Test Helpline (BAUATH), a popular volunteer platform established by the university's students. Various recreational activities were arranged, and participants enthusiastically engaged in a BAU-centric quiz competition. Other exciting games, including 'Balish Bodol' (pillow change) and 'Ball in Bucket,' along with a lottery, were major attractions. Jagannath, Fuad, and Borsha were crowned champions of the quiz competition. All attendees received premium BAUATH T-shirts. Special commemorative gifts were provided for active members of Level 1.2, and prizes were distributed to the winners at the event's conclusion.

The event commenced at 2 PM on Friday, July 24, on the second floor of the university's TSC building. The day-long celebration began in a joyous atmosphere with a cake-cutting ceremony. Volunteers and members from various levels of the platform were in attendance.

A highlight of the day was an in-depth review of the recently concluded 2025-26 agricultural cluster admission season. Volunteers openly discussed the platform's achievements, its success in meeting student expectations, areas for improvement, and strategies for enhanced performance in the upcoming season.

Senior Admin Md. Limon Mia stated, "BAUATH is a volunteer initiative run entirely by BAU students. Our primary goal is to provide accurate and timely information, sound advice, and essential guidance to prospective students applying for the agricultural cluster. After each admission season, we organize such get-togethers to strengthen interpersonal relationships among members and to analyze past activities for future learning."

He further stated, "To successfully run a volunteer platform, trust, personal relationships, and mutual respect among members are crucial. Therefore, a primary objective of 'Shamikhon 1.0' was to strengthen the bonds of friendship among everyone, alongside exchanging experiences, self-critique, and future action planning."

Senior Admin Mahmudul Hasan Shuvo mentioned, "I have been associated with the Bangladesh Agricultural University Admission Test Helpline group since 2020. From the issuance of the agricultural cluster admission test circular until my admission to BAU, the group's guiding posts and subject choice-related live sessions played a very important role in every aspect."

He added, "Motivated by my positive experience with the group's activities, I joined the admin panel in 2022. For the past four years, I have continuously strived to simplify the admission process for agricultural cluster aspirants by providing accurate information, advice, and presenting statistical data via live sessions on potential subject allocations at different universities based on various positions. Students aspiring to enroll in BAU and other agricultural universities, along with their guardians, have benefited from our platform. We are optimistic this trend will continue in the future."

Fuad, a junior member of BAUATH, remarked, "Today's 'Shamikhon 1.0' is a truly memorable experience for me. I not only enjoyed myself but also learned a great deal, and everyone's sincerity impressed me. My heartfelt thanks to all seniors and organizers for such a wonderful event. I hope to have more opportunities to learn and work with BAUATH in the future."

Since 2015, this platform has provided reliable information, practical advice, and necessary guidance to agricultural cluster admission test candidates. After the admission season, it organizes an event that not only offers fun but also openly reviews the successes and failures of the entire season.
