Grameenphone Partners with bKash to Digitally Streamline Field Incentive Payments

Country’s leading telecom operator Grameenphone has decided to disburse incentives for its nationwide distributor field force directly into their bKash accounts, a move expected to make field-level financial management more simple, transparent, and secure.

According to a press release issued on June 8, Monday, the agreement was recently signed at GP House in Dhaka between Grameenphone and bKash. Senior officials from both organizations were present at the signing ceremony.

From Grameenphone, those present included Chief Marketing Officer Farha Naz Zaman, Chief Product Officer Soleyman Alam, Head of Sales and Distribution Mohammad Sharif Mahmud Khan, and Head of Distribution Sheikh Iftekhar Ahmed.

Representing bKash were Chief Commercial Officer Ali Ahmed, Head of Business Sales Masrur Chowdhury, and EVP & Head of Telecom Payments Shafayatul Islam Khan.

Under the agreement, Grameenphone will utilize bKash’s “disbursement solution” to distribute incentives to field personnel across the country. The funds will be directly credited to beneficiaries’ bKash accounts, enabling faster, safer, and more efficient payments while reducing operational complexity.

Beneficiaries will be able to withdraw funds from any bKash agent point or ATM booth nationwide as needed. In addition, the platform will allow users to access a wide range of digital financial services, including bill payments, mobile recharge, savings, remittance reception, education and government fee payments, e-ticketing, donations, and loan services.

Officials from both companies expressed optimism that the initiative will further strengthen digital financial transactions at the field level, improving efficiency, transparency, and user convenience.
