Amazon Announces New ‘Tomb Raider’ Adventures for 2026 and 2027
Amazon Game Studios and Crystal Dynamics have unveiled two new Tomb Raider games set for release in 2026 and 2027 at The Game Awards in Los Angeles. The iconic Lara Croft returns in a modern avatar, embarking on entirely new adventures in both titles, built using Unreal Engine 5 technology.
The first game, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis (2026), is a reimagining of the 1996 original. Developers promise modern graphics, updated design, and new surprises while preserving the essence of the original game. Players will explore mysterious locations, navigate complex traps, and embark on perilous quests to discover powerful Skye artifacts.
The second installment, Tomb Raider: Catalyst (2027), will feature an entirely new storyline set in northern India, aiming to deliver the most expansive experience in the series yet. Actress Alex Wilton Regan will voice Lara Croft in both games.
Both titles will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam, emphasizing single-player storytelling, cinematic presentation, and narrative-driven progression. Anticipation among global fans is already running high.
