Fintech Frontiers Celebrated at 3rd Bangladesh Fintech Awards

The 3rd Bangladesh Fintech Awards was held at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka, where 26 fintech initiatives were recognized for their contributions to advancing digital financial services in the country. This year, awards were presented across 14 specialized categories, with 14 initiatives named category winners and 12 others receiving Honorable Mentions.

Among the distinguished winners was Mastercard Bangladesh, which received the award in the “Most Innovative Fintech Product Design of the Year” category for introducing the world’s first biometric metal credit card in Bangladesh. Other notable award recipients included City Bank PLC, Prime Bank PLC, Milvik Bangladesh, Guardian Life Insurance, United Finance, SSL Wireless, Sheba Fintech, Dana Fintech, Bank Asia, bKash, and Pathao Limited.

Honorable Mentions were awarded to organizations including City Bank PLC, Milvik Bangladesh, bKash, Pathao, Sheba Fintech, IPDC Finance, SSL Wireless, Analyzen Bangladesh, and Gold Kinen.

The awards were presented by Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur, Governor of Bangladesh Bank, along with Shariful Islam, Founder and Managing Director of Bangladesh Brand Forum and Founder of Bangladesh Innovation Conclave.

The ceremony was organized by the Bangladesh Fintech Forum and Bangladesh Brand Forum, hosted in partnership with Mastercard and facilitated by Prime Bank PLC. This year’s awards received a total of 301 nominations. Shortlisting and final evaluations were conducted through four grand jury sessions and multiple screening rounds, led by a 13-member expert jury panel from the financial and banking sectors. The evaluation process aimed to ensure fairness, transparency, and quality in recognizing impactful innovation.
