Prof. Dr. Mohammad Faruque Hassan, Professor of the Department of Agricultural Extension at Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU), has officially joined as the new Treasurer of Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST). He formally completed the joining process on Saturday (July 25) morning by signing the joining letter at the Vice-Chancellor's office.
Following his joining, JUST Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Earul Kabir and Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sheikh Mahmudul Hasan warmly welcomed the new Treasurer with floral bouquets. Deans of various faculties, teachers, and officials were present during the occasion. Earlier on July 23 (Thursday), the Ministry of Education issued a notification regarding his appointment.
At 11:00 AM, following the joining formalities, Prof. Dr. Faruque Hassan laid a wreath at the foundation stone of the university and participated in prayers. He later paid tribute at the central Shahid Minar and planted a Neem sapling on the campus premises. Expressing his gratitude, he stated, "I will work tirelessly to fulfill the duties entrusted to me by the government and to advance JUST further."
Prof. Dr. Faruque Hassan completed his graduation and post-graduation from Bangladesh Agricultural University before joining academia in 2005. He later obtained his Ph.D. in Public Policy from Osaka University, Japan, in 2012. Throughout his career, he has contributed significantly to research and university administration.
