After the roads and highways, CCTV cameras are being installed in buses within Dhaka and leaving from Dhaka. At the same time, it has been decided to monitor the main roads of Dhaka with drone cameras. Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has taken this special preparation to prevent vandalism after the declaration of election schedule. Meanwhile an Instructions have been given to take photos of buses and passengers at every stop in the capital to prevent bus fires.
According to sources, instructions have been given to the concerned in this regard.
Earlier in October last year, CCTV cameras were installed in 108 buses to ensure safe travel of women passengers in the public transport of the capital Dhaka. This camera was set up by the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs in collaboration with Dipta Foundation. It is expected that the passengers will be protected in the bus movement during the hartal–blockade ahead of the elections and it will be possible to identify the culprits in case of any accident.
