The technical problem on the motherboard of the toll scale struck by lightning at Mawa Toll Plaza of Padma Bridge has been resolved. Additional Director of Padma Bridge Site Office said that although there was temporary difficulty due to electric short circuit due to lightning strike, it was fixed by 10:30 am on Tuesday.
Additional Director of Padma Bridge Site Office confirmed the technical error. Amirul Haider Chowdhury said that lightning struck between 3 and 4 o’clock in the night. It caused a problem with the toll scale motherboard. But it was fixed in the morning. There was some pressure in the truck lane. It was not a big deal, just an electrical short circuit in a lightning strike.
On the other hand, Mawa traffic police in-charge Ziaul Haider said that there was a temporary problem with the toll scale in the morning. Due to this, the toll collection was stopped for a while, so the cars started gathering in front of the toll plaza. There was a traffic jam for an hour and a half. However, when the toll collection started around 10:30 am, the picture of the road became normal.
