To ensure the presence in the field of artificial intelligence, Alphabet Inc. too is going to be visible. On that basis, Google on Tuesday opened its own artificial intelligence ‘Bird’ for general users. It is not open to the whole world for now. Only users in the United States and the United Kingdom can sign up for the waiting list, said Jobin Gormani, Vice President of Google Research.
“Bird is here to help people increase productivity, accelerate their ideas and fuel their curiosity,” Sissy Xiao, vice president of the R Product Department, told reporters.
According to Google, since early 2022, Google had been working on an artificial intelligence-powered chatbot named Bird. This chatbot has been used by Google engineers and testers as experimental or beta for a long time. The chatbot can answer any query in English. As a result, the chatbot can be used separately.
Google has been working with the Large Language Model for several years. Last year, there was a huge debate about whether their artificial intelligence ‘Lambda’ was sentient or not. A smaller version of that lamb is the ‘Bird’.
However, the artificial intelligence ‘ChatGPT’ created by OpenAI was shocked at the beginning. In a pre-recorded video clip shared on Twitter, Google’s share price fell by $100 billion after it incorrectly answered a question about the ‘James Webb Telescope’ in space. However, users have to pay $20 to use the latest version of ChatGPT, ‘GPT-4’. It has also gained popularity among computer programmers.
