Android is the most used smartphone operating system in the world today. Tech giant Microsoft has discovered a major security flaw in Google’s Android operating system. News Times of India.
Microsoft claims that the Android operating system has been found to be flawed. It is used to steal information from smartphones as well as other installed apps. At the same time, hackers are taking control of other smartphones remotely by adding malicious code through malware.
The harmful malware is called ‘Dirty Stream Malware’. Which is being spread through various popular apps on Google Play Store. Apps which have already been downloaded more than 4 billion times. These Android smartphone users are at a great risk.
Microsoft named two apps with Dirty Stream malware. One of them is the popular ‘File Manager’ made by smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi and the other is ‘WPS Office’. These two apps have been downloaded more than 1.5 billion times.
