According to reliable sources, Bloomberg reports that the technology giant is working not only to release its first cellular modem in late 2024 or early 2025, but also to drop Broadcom’s Bluetooth and Wi-Fi chips. It will come to the market in 2025.
Apple is also working to integrate Bluetooth, cellular and Wi-Fi functionality into the same design, Apple said. This makes production easier and saves some space inside the iPhone.
Apple and Qualcomm did not comment on this. However, Broadcom said it will supply most of the chips for the 2023 iPhone model. But they may have some contribution to Apple hardware in 2025.
