With the aim of creating interest and achieving independence in the production sector, the information technology exhibition ‘Digital Devices and Innovation Expo 2022’ is going to be held across the country for a fortnight.
The ICT Division, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority and Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS) will jointly hold the expo from November 16 to December 4 in 8 divisional/major cities of the country (Chattogram, Cumilla, Sylhet, Mymensingh, Barisal, Jashore, Rajshahi and Rangpur). At this local level ‘Digital Devices and Innovation Expo 2022’.
In preparation for the successful organization of the exhibition, a ‘meet and greet’ meeting was held at Hotel Intercontinental in the capital on November 2 (Wednesday) night with the participation of participants, producers and importers.
NM Zeaul Alam, Senior Secretary, Information and Communication Technology Division was the chief guest on this occasion. While speaking as the chief guest, he said, preparations for celebrating ‘Digital Bangladesh’ achieved by honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in a festive atmosphere and nationwide campaign, encouraging investors/entrepreneurs, creating a platform for presenting all innovative ideas nationwide, and empowering the people at the grass root level with the present government’s ‘Vision 2041- The purpose of this event is to involve in ‘Smart Bangladesh’ journey. I hope this event will be able to generate massive response at the district level.
Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, Managing Director of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority said, ICT Expo has been organized since 2015 under the initiative of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority. We are a proud partner in organizing Digital Devices & Innovation Expo 2019. We organize this event with the aim of promoting innovation in information technology, making technology accessible to domestic consumers and attracting foreign investors to Bangladesh. In continuation of this, this year we have organized nationwide Digital Device and Innovation Expo 2022.
BCS President Engr. Subrata Sarkar said, the word digital is incomplete without devices. Whatever you feel the need to do in the age of globalization, you need a device. Modern devices make people’s daily tasks easier. Our organization is to bring the excellence of technology to people’s doorstep. This expo will be one of the tools to implement the conviction of leader Sheikh Hasina to build a smart Bangladesh.
BCS General Secretary Kamruzzaman Bhuiyan delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. He said that Bangladesh Computer Association has been working nationwide to enrich common people with technology. In continuation of this, we have taken the initiative to implement the Digital Device and Innovation Expo 2022 exhibition in 8 departmental/major cities outside the capital. We believe that many of our entrepreneurs, freelancers, technology product traders and students outside the capital will have the opportunity to enrich their technology knowledge through this expo as well as get a proper idea about the latest devices and see them directly.

Executive committee members of BASIS, BACCO, ISPAB, e-CAB, BCS executive committee members, chairman and chief executive officers of hardware and software import and marketing organization were present.
