Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) in collaboration with MasterCard has introduced a pre-paid card for the first time in Bangladesh to support medical tourism. Bangladeshi citizens seeking medical treatment in India will be particularly benefited by using this card.
Holders of this new dual currency card will get 10 percent discount on any amount of hospital bill at more than 120 hospitals in Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Lucknow in India. Cardholders also get complimentary dental and eye check-ups, a day trip to Agra’s Taj Mahal or a city tour during their stay in India.
The new card will enrich users’ medical tourism experience by ensuring seamless travel. Cardholders enjoy complimentary airport transfers in India and MasterCard ‘Flight Deal Pass’.
To avail the offers, cardholders have to submit a treatment inquiry on the designated EBL webpage and select the most suitable option from the treatment options and cost estimates offered by various hospitals. Medical visa, hotel booking, doctor’s appointment and other services will be provided to the card holder patients.
Other benefits of the card include 24/7 cash withdrawal worldwide; special discounts at hundreds of Bangladesh Eastern Bank and over 7,000 MasterCard partner merchant outlets.
