45th National Science and Technology Week, Science Fair and 8th National Science Olympiad started at Khagrachari Government High School from Sunday. State Minister for Hills Tracts Affairs Kujendra Lal Tripura inaugurated the fair organized by the district administration in the school auditorium at noon.
Khagrachari Deputy Commissioner Md. Sahiduzzaman presided over the event, while Khagrachari Police Superintendent PPM (Bar) Mukta Dhar, Principal of Khagrachari Government College, Md. Sarafat Hossain were present among others.
While speaking as the chief guest, the State Minister Kujendra Lal Tripura said, the whole world now depends on technology. Our future generation is our tool, our resource. This science-minded generation will lead the country in the future. Future generations should be dedicated to the welfare of the country and people. With the innovation of new technology, all the concerned should work unitedly with the goal of building a smart Bangladesh of the honorable Prime Minister.
He urged the students to learn Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, German languages besides learning English language to keep pace with other countries of the world.
After the discussion, State Minister Kujendra Lal Tripura inspected the technologies developed by the students at the Science Fair. Later, the state minister asked the students to know the details about the technology invented by the students.
Along with the exhibition, a science quiz competition is also going on at the fair.
