BD Girls Coding Contest 2022 has organized “BD Girls’ Coding” project to enhance computer programming skills of high school girls . March 25 ; The competition will be held on Friday . Earlier , the online selection will be held on March 20 , 2022 . Registration has started for participation in the competition . Registration will continue till March 18 . The competition is organized by Eco – BD and Bangladesh Open Source Network ( BdOSN ) under the auspices of Educational Charitable and Humanitarian Organization ( ECO – USA ) , an American based charity .
Competitions have been organized to enhance the skills of problem solving students by coding high school girls . Earlier , students were given online and offline programming workshops in C programming language across the country . The girls in the competition will be allowed to solve problems related to the early stages of programming . Registration can be done at https://forms.gle/YmzcV6FqVAuXo1y2A . The competition will be organized using the online jazz ” Code Martial (algo.codemarshal.org)” platform . High school girl students –from Sixth to tenth graders and SSC 2021 and 2022 students will be able to participate in this competition . There are a total of sixty Thousands taka reward for the winners. In addition , the winners will have the opportunity to receive higher training in a three- day residential camp .
In order to involve women entrepreneurs in technology , it is necessary to teach coding to girls from school level . For this reason , the government of Bangladesh has added programming subject in the textbook of high school . Efforts are being made from this project to stay ahead in classroom learning . Under the project, the backward girls also will get acquainted with programming, Programming camps , workshops and competitions are being organized in schools and marginalized schools . By conducting offline and online activities across the
country to make school girls aware of programming and to make them fit for future work in science and
technology .
Bangladesh Computer Council , Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services ( BASIS ), Bangladesh Computer Society , Bangladesh Women in Technology and Internet Society – Bangladesh Chapter and Maksudul Alam Science Lab ( MassLab ) are collaborating in BD Girls Coding Project .
