This is the third time this month that Amazon Web Services (AWS) customers have suffered. Many people could not use many apps, websites and games hosted on the service on Wednesday.
AWS reported on the Health Dashboard of their service that the problem was caused by a lack of electricity in the US-East-1 data center. The problem was first recognized at 7:35 in the morning. However, all the services and network devices of the data center were activated at 8:39. From then on, websites, games or other services hosted in the data center became normal.
After about 25 minutes, most of the AWS services were reported to be normal. However, there are still problems with some elastic block store volumes that are being addressed.
This time, the service of Epic Games Store has been damaged due to server disruption of AWS. Several services including login, library, purchase were disrupted. Customers also suffer from slack file uploads, message editing and other features. Problems with Hudu, Rocket League, Grinder and McDonald’s apps due to problems with Udemi, Honeywell, Fall Guys, IMGUR, Asana.
Earlier, on December 7, the server crash at AWS affected services such as the Associated Press, Disney Plus and Vice, and on December 15, Twitch, Slack and online gaming services.
