Tesla CEO Elon Musk has called for a reduction in the cost of delivering cars to customers. He made the call in an email sent to all employees of the company. News CNBC.
In an email, Elon Musk said: “Instead of spending too much to make car delivery easier, our goal this quarter should be to reduce costs.” We spent a lot of money delivering more cars towards the end of the quarter. But in the first few weeks of the next quarter, the volume of deliveries dropped significantly.
The news media did not receive any comment from Tesla.
It has become Tesla’s custom to emphasize car delivery towards the end of each quarter. In 2019, Insider reported that in the last 15 days of the quarter, workers were instructed to deliver 30,000 vehicles.
Even earlier, Elon Musk called the delivery problem of Tesla a ‘logistic hell’. Customers have complained that they have suffered for months due to delivery delays. Last August, customers of the Tesla Model S and Model Y complained that they had to wait up to four months for the car to be delivered.
