To develop the potential of young entrepreneurs, “Smart Entrepreneurs District by District” bootcamps are being held in 20 regions across the country. As part of this, Grameenphone’s Startup Innovation Platform GP Accelerator Bootcamp was held in Dinajpur on Saturday, May 4th. About 250 entrepreneurs participated in the Bootcamp.
Salahuddin Ahmed, Deputy Director of Local Government, was present as the chief guest at the camp held at a hotel in the city. Dinajpur Additional Superintendent of Police (Traffic and Estate) Mosfequr Rahman; Dinajpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Reza Humayun Farooq Chowdhury; Directorate of Youth Development, Dinajpur Deputy Director Khandkar Md. Rawanakul Islam; Assistant Professor of Dinajpur Government College and Higher Secondary Branch Supervisor Sheikh Mahatabul Haque and GP Accelerator, Dinajpur Region Community Builder Bishal Kumar Gupta were present as special guests.
Eminent personalities and participants including local community organizers, startup founders, GP Accelerator (GPA) members, experts and trainers from related industries were present. The program was moderated by Grameenphone GP Accelerator Program Lead Muhammad Sohail Rana.
Regarding the camp, Grameenphone’s Environment, Social and Governance Head, Farhana Islam, said that there is no alternative to developing their talent and skills to build a smart Bangladesh in 2041. From this program, the youth can get the necessary education and present their innovative ideas in front of everyone. We believe that this step will contribute to the realization of the Smart Bangladesh vision in addition to acquiring the necessary skills.
