Microsoft has created a new media playback app for Windows 11. This app has been developed with all the benefits of both Grove Music app and Windows Media Player which has not changed since 2009. Windows Insider customers can now use the app called ‘Media Player for Windows 11’. News Engadget.
The app is designed for music and video playback. Those who used the Grove Music app will be able to update the new app. The Grove Music app’s library and playlist will automatically migrate to the new Media Player app.
According to Microsoft, users can easily browse from the library what they want to hear. You can also create and manage playlists. Album art and ‘Rich Artist Imagery’ can be viewed in full screen or mini-player mode during playback.
The app can also add files from PC’s music and video folder. The settings allow the user to specify where the media player can find files to add to its library.
