Competition between different companies and their owning authorities is nothing new in the market. And now in this internet-centric age, many people are seen getting involved in open arguments. In that case, the leader of two popular social media companies and the owner of X (formerly Twitter) Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, have recently been involved in controversy again.
Elon Musk compared popular social networking site Instagram, owned by Meta, to 18+ subscription platform OnlineFans. And it all started with a tweet from a profile by the username ‘cb_doze’.
There was a recent tweet from the cb_doze profile, where the poster asked ‘What’s the difference between Instagram and only-fans? Just the name?’ In response, Elon Musk, in response to Dog designer’s post, said – ‘Much more’.
For those who don’t know, Only-Fans is a subscription-based service popular in the UK. It is primarily used by adult content creators. In other words, Elon Musk has directly mocked Instagram as an adult content platform.
Billionaire Elon Musk, owner of companies like Tesla, SpaceX, has made a big offer to Mark Zuckerberg. He offered Zuckerberg $1 billion in exchange for a traditional Facebook name change. Musk even made a similar offer to Wikipedia a few days ago. However, no one has yet responded to his proposal.
