Even in the rain, ‘Gulnaksha’, the Hall-1 of the International Convention City, Bashundhara, where the ATS Expo arranged by Walton is going on, was attended by the spontaneous presence of industrialists, buyers and visitors. As it is a holiday, the number of university students among the visitors was noticeable. Many YouTubers were also found screening the event.
According to sources, apart from visiting the Expo, domestic and foreign entrepreneurs also made pre-orders. Before evening, the Walton authorities also received an advance order of taka 20 crores including 5 crores of the opening day for buying Elevators and 1000 pieces of TV. About 10 foreign ambassadors and commercial officers working in Bangladesh from Philipins, Libia, Pakistan, Iraq, Iran and Germany, as well as ADB representatives, also visited this expo and keen their interest to outsource electronic components from Walton.

In the three-day industrial fair ‘International Advanced Components and Technology (ATS) Expo-2023’, the company has displayed more than 50,000 international quality industrial materials, components, services and testing facilities at a total of 21 stalls in four categories.
Before entering the four zones of Testing Solutions, Industrial Materials, Components, Services and Products, visitors were greeted by Walton’s own industrial robots. Energy efficient IoT-based smart inverters, twin fold inverters and so on. On Friday, the second day of the exhibition, fixed speed ionizers were at the center of interest. Many people were looking at the logistics of the latest technology. Ignoring the rain, the representatives of various domestic and foreign private industrial organizations came to the fair and witnessed the production style and capacity of Bangladesh.
Gholam Murshed, Managing Director (MD) of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC said that on April 6, 2017, Walton launched the eighth compressor factory in Asia and the 15th in the world. The following year in 2018, Walton computers and monitors were manufactured in domestic factories for the first time. Since 2010, it has been exporting televisions made in its own factory to different countries of the world. Within 5 years the annual production capacity of Walton’s compressor factory exceeded 4 million. They plan to increase production capacity to 10 million by 2025. Walton televisions, compressors and their parts are being exported to more than 35 countries in the world including Germany, Greece, Ireland, Poland, and Spain after meeting the local demand. They have now taken the initiative to save the country’s dollars by supplying the logistics in the production of products from the country instead of importing those from abroad.
