Barisal Metropolitan Police (BMP) and bKash organized a day-long workshop to raise awareness to prevent the use of important and essential services like Mobile Financial Services (MFS) for criminal activities.
60 investigation officers of the Metropolitan Police participated in this workshop titled ‘Investigation and prevention of misuse of mobile financial services’ held at the conference room of the headquarters of BMP. The workshop discussed in detail about how to use the information obtained about criminal gangs to identify them and bring them to justice.
Police Commissioner of BMP Md. Saiful Islam BPM (Bar) was present as the chief guest in the workshop. Advisor of External and Corporate Affairs Division of bKash Limited and Additional IGP (retired) Dr. Md. Najibur Rahman, Additional Commissioner of Police Abu Ahmed Al Mamun, bKash EVP and Head of External Affairs AKM Monirul Karim along with other top officials of bKash and BMP were also present in the event.
To keep the transactions of the customers safe, bKash conducts all its activities strictly according to the prevailing laws of the country. Besides, bKash uses ‘AML 360 Financial Crime Investigation Solution’ app for automatic round-the-clock monitoring of its agents’ activities and takes appropriate action in case of any violation of rules. bKash conducts awareness activities throughout the year to prevent such important and necessary services of MFS from being used for criminal activities. In continuation of that, after various districts across the country, this workshop was organized in Barisal as well.
