Audio streaming platform Spotify was hit by a technical outage on Wednesday. As a result, millions of users around the world suffered from using the platform for several hours. The company told Reuters that the service was finally restored at around 7 pm Bangladesh time.
Spotify did not say exactly how many users were affected by Wednesday’s outage. More than 20,000 users in the US and more than 8,000 in the UK were affected while the outage was ongoing, according to website tracking website Downdetector. Although this information is only derived from the information provided by users, the number of victims is several times higher.
In a tweet, Spotify said that now everything looks better than before.
It should be noted that Spotify was out of order two more times this year.
