Recently, the Russian military has been accused of forcibly sending several Indian citizens to the war zone in Ukraine. As soon as the news came out, the central government of the country had to face criticism. However, the Indian government has already started the work of rescuing the stranded Indians.
Meanwhile, more than 5,000 Indian citizens were allegedly forcibly detained in Cambodia. After luring them to work, they are subjected to serious cyber fraud. Now the Modi government has started thinking about rescuing those Indians detained in Cambodia. In the meantime, the Indian government has managed to rescue 250 Indians.
A large number of Indian nationals have reportedly been sent to Cambodia over the past few months with the lure of data entry jobs. After reaching there, their passports were confiscated. After that they are allegedly being forced to carry out cyberattacks on Indian citizens. So far Indians have been defrauded to the tune of Rs 500 crores in the last few months.
Most of those stuck in Cambodia are from South India. Three residents of Bengaluru who were stuck there recently managed to return home from Cambodia.
