Due to spectrum management in the 2100 MHz band to ensure better service Mobile service may be disrupted tonight. A total of eight hours of mobile service may be disrupted from 11 pm on April 7 to 8 am on Thursday, April 8, according to the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (BTRC).
BTRC informed a total of 27.4 MHz spectrum including 7.4 MHz in the 1800 MHz band and 20 MHz in the 2100 MHz band were allotted to Grameenphone, Robi and Banglalink through an auction on 8 March 2021.
Spectrum rearrangement has been done in favor of these institutions to combine the new wave allotted in the auction with the previously allotted wave. Due to which the waves of all mobile operators will change.
Mobile network communication may be temporarily disrupted at certain times of the day while changing waves.
Earlier, on April 1, the first step was to change the 1600 MHz band spectrum. At that time, mobile phone users used the mobile network uninterruptedly.
