Debashish Bhowmik, a goldsmith in Narail, and his team have won the land offered by the mobile financial service provider. Pintu Bhowmik and Soma Bhowmik were also in this team. This information was conveyed in a press release on Monday.
It is said that this land was recently handed over to the Probashi Palli Group project by Mahmudullah Riyad, the star all-rounder of the national cricket team. Debashish and his team took this land by flying in a helicopter with Deputy Chief Marketing Officer of Narail Mohammad Solaiman. Devasish and Pintu are gold shop workers by profession. And Soma is a housewife. Team leader Debashish was eligible to form the team by recharging his mobile with just 100 taka using Nagad wallet. He then teamed up with Pintu and his wife Soma. All three traded regularly throughout the campaign.
The three land winners and Pintu’s daughter Purnata Bhowmik were brought to Purbachal from Narail in a specially hired helicopter from Dhaka. The three were excited to board the helicopter. Mahmudullah Riyad then talked to them in the Probashi Palli and brought them to the designated plot. The three winners burst into tears of joy at the news of getting land there.
Team leader Debashish said, ‘I saw in the video that it is possible to win land by trading through Nagad by forming a team. I didn’t believe that much. But since I am a Nagad customer, I formed the team on a whim. Now it seems that the creator himself has fulfilled our dreams with Nagad.’
Soma Bhowmik said, ‘The whole day feels like a dream’. We have never been in a helicopter in our lives. Today that seemed like a reward. Then I saw a star like Riyad Bhai. And finally, I got the land. It seems like I’m dreaming.’
Mahmudullah Riyad also became emotional after handing over the land. He said, ‘I gave a car to a middle-class man last year for Nagad, the man’s life changed. Now I could give the land to this family. Their lives also changed. I think witnessing people’s lives change is a greater joy than winning a match with the bat. Thanks to Nagad, for giving me this opportunity.’
