Mentioning that Women and E-Commerce Trust (WE) is one of the main platforms for creating and promoting women entrepreneurship in the country, Minister of State for Culture KM Khalid has expressed hope that the organization will soon surpass BRAC. He said, the way you are running around the world, ‘WE’ will become a bigger organization than BRAC in Bangladesh in the future. The way Nasima Akhtar Nisha is carrying out her duties with integrity and impartiality so that BRAC even can be surpassed. None of the 13 lakh members of the organization should fall into the storm. If there is a possibility of someone getting caught in the storm, everyone would rush there.
The Minister of State for Culture made this call during the closing ceremony of the ‘Entrepreneur Masterclass’ organized by ‘Women and E-Commerce Trust (WE)’ at Bangmata Sheikh Fazilatun Nesa Mujib Auditorium of Bangladesh National Museum in the capital on Monday afternoon.
Expressing optimism that we will soon become a reputable organization, the state minister told the organizers in his speech that if there is no Ram, then Rahim, if there is no Rahim, then if there is no Rahima, then Karima or if there is no Nasima, Asia will run it. I would like decentralization unless the organization is hard to sustain.
KM Khalid said, I have taken the initiative to transform my constituency Muktagachha into a model upazila. For that purpose, one of the 10 unions of the upazila will be made unemployed first. Therefore, the initiative will be implemented with the cooperation of the relevant ministries including the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Livestock, Social Welfare, Youth and Sports. The State Minister called on women entrepreneurs’ organization ‘WE’ to work there so that the initiative can be implemented quickly and successfully.
President of ‘Women and E-Commerce Trust (WE)’ Naseema Akhter Nisha presided over the closing ceremony while the Global Advisor of WE Soumya Bose spoke as special guest at the event. WE Advisor Kabir Saqib delivered the welcome speech. Imana Haque Jyoti, Working Committee Director of WE were present among others.
While speaking as the President of the ceremony, Nasima Akhter Nisha promised that she will work for the development of the women of Muktagachha constituency of the State Minister of Culture. At the same time, she advised all the members of this Facebook-based group to use the hashtag My Story and My Product.
