On the occasion of Women’s Day, the PreneurLab and FNF Bangladesh jointly organized a bootcamp with women entrepreneurs. A four-day workshop with the first two sessions held virtually on March 5 and 6; and the next two sessions were held through direct participation on March 7 and 12.
Aref Nizami, founder of PreneurLab, informed this information in a press release on Monday. He said, after the registration of the program, all the women who are interested in business were specially selected for participation. About 45 women entrepreneurs participated in the virtual session and 35 women entrepreneurs participated in the physical bootcamp out of which 15 pitched their business ideas to the judges.
The virtual session on the first day was moderated by Handimama founder and CEO Shah Paran. The speaker for the second virtual session was Emrajina Islam, co-founder of Emrajina Technologies. Speakers on the third day of the Bootcamp Day event were JCI Bangladesh National Vice President Md. Altamish Nabil; Syed Naemul Hossain, co-founder of Bangla Institute, and Shoaib Mohammad Khan, digital marketing manager of Sahaz. The demo day of this program was on the fourth day. On this day, in front of the jury board, the participants presented their business ideas.
More than 70 women entrepreneurs participated in the demo day out of which 14 women entrepreneurs pitched their business plans to the judges. Various sessions were conducted to enhance the business knowledge of the participants through discussions on all the issues required for business ventures and progress.
FNF Bangladesh Country Representative Dr. Nazmul Hossain, sME Bhai Managing Director Mehdi Hasan Sagar and IT writer and journalist Rahitul Islam Ruel were present as mentors in this demo program. .
Siddharth Goswami, Operations Team Lead of Idea Project of Startup Bangladesh, Rebecca Sultana, Project Officer of UNDP Bangladesh and Asia Neela,Founder and CEO of Women in Digital were also present as judges in the pitching competition held on this day.
Ashraful Tanveer, Head of Operations and Admin of PreneurLab attended in another session of the day.
According to the participants, the workshop was an excellent learning experience for them. The participants are able to further develop their business thinking and skills and gain knowledge on principles of business growth through this program.
Since 2014, PreneurLabhas been working to empower women, youth and entrepreneurs across the globe. On this occasion they have organized exceptional events like seminars, bootcamps and hackathons at various times. This session was also a part of their women freedom and empowerment initiative. PreneurLab is hopeful of organizing such events in the future as well.
