Three representatives of the country have raised a new bill to ban TikTok in the United States. The draft proposal, if enacted into law, would ban all TikTok transactions in the United States and shut down the short-form video platform there. News CNN.

According to the news, the new draft proposal was raised by the top Republican Senator Marco Rubio of the ‘Senate Intelligence Committee’; Two other representatives are with him. They directly mentioned TikTok and the platform’s parent company ByteDance in the bill.
The draft proposes to ban not only TikTok, but all social media controlled by countries deemed to be ‘sufficiently influential’ foreign adversaries and having at least 1 million regular users per month. US senators mentioned countries like China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, Cuba and Venezuela as foreign opponents.
Republican governors have already banned the use of TikTok on government devices in seven states of the United States.
