E-Commerce Association of Bangladesh e-CAB held a day-long workshop at Sena Kalyan Convention Center in Dhaka on Saturday with more than 100 members of the newly formed 34 sub-committees. In the presence of e-CAB President Shomi Kaiser, the outline of the implementation of the action plan for the next one year was presented in the workshop.
Group level standing and zonal committee and forum chairmen elaborated on how to implement their activities.
The workshop was conducted by e-CAB Executive Director Jahangir Alam Shovan, Director Ilmul Haque Sajib and Shahriar Hasan.
Meanwhile, 2 new members joined the board of directors along with 9 members of the newly formed executive committee. They are Hungry Naki CEO Khandaker Tasfeen Alam and Light Speed Source member Arnab Mostafa. As per the association rules, the number of e-CAB management committee has now increased to 11 members subject to the approval of the Ministry of Commerce.
It may be noted that, the announced Government Affairs, E-Tourism and Women Enterprise Forum has been entrusted to e-CAB President Shomi Kaiser. And Vice President Mohammad Sahab Uddin Shipon has been elected as Head of Health Tech, Fourth Industrial Revolution, Legal Affairs and Seller Forum. General Secretary Abdul Waheed Tamal is in charge of Training and Development Standing Committee and Digital Rural Forum. Deputy General Secretary Nasima Akhter Nisha has been elected to look after Dhaka North and South and Chattogram region.
Finance-Editor Asif Ahnaf is responsible for event implementation, member welfare and agricultural marketing committee. Director Shahriar Hasan will look after Research and Publication, Cross Border and Smart Logistics Standing Committee. Syeda Ambareen Reza is responsible for looking after fintech, edutech and international relations. Saidur Rahman has been given the responsibility of Manufacturer, Digital Marketing and Social Media and F Commerce Alliance Forum. Ilmul Haque Sajeeb has been given the responsibility of coordination of digital infrastructure and security, web services and branding standing committee. Among the new directors, Khandaker Tasfeen Alam has been named in-charge of Corporate Affairs, Consumer Satisfaction and Digital Content Standing Committee and Arnab Mustafa in-charge of Tech and e-Sports, Human Services, e-Business Support and Youth Forum.
