ADN Telecom has shown its strong position in increasing prices despite the decline in prices in the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) in the last week. Besides, BDCOM Online Limited is at the top of the ten highest losers.
Among them, ADN Telecom’s share price rose by 25.55 percent throughout the week, becoming the top choice of investors. The amount has increased by 19 taka 80 paisa. At the end of the last working day of the week, the price of each share of the company stood at 97 taka 30 paisa, which was 77 taka 50 paisa on the last working day of the previous week. As a result, the company has occupied the top position of price increase in the main stock market Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
On the other hand, the highest share price of BDCOM Online Limited has decreased by 30.46 percent in the last week. During the week, the company transacted a total of Tk. 58 crore 49 lakh 34 thousand. Which is an average of 11 crore 69 lakh 86 thousand taka per day.
Meanwhile, a section of investors sold shares in ADN Telecom as the share price rose. During the last week, the shares of the company have been traded for Tk. 98 crore 44 lakh 31 thousand. And every working day average transaction was 19 crore 68 lakh 86 thousand taka.
The board of directors of the company decided to pay a 10 percent cash dividend to investors last month as prices rose throughout the week. The company has taken this decision after reviewing the financial report of the year ended June 30, 2022. That is, against one share, the shareholders of the company will get a cash dividend of taka 1 each.
Earlier in 2021, the company paid 10 percent cash dividend to shareholders. Prior to that, it paid a cash dividend of 15 percent in 2020. The paid up capital of the company listed in the stock market in 2019 is Tk. 64 crore 65 lakh. And the number of shares is 6 crore 46 lakh 51 thousand 666.
51.56 percent of this is in the hands of entrepreneurs and managers. Out of the remaining shares, 26.17 percent shares are held by ordinary investors. And institutional investors have 20.28 percent. The remaining 1.99 percent is with foreign investors.
