The Internet Service Providers Association of Bangladesh (ISPAB) has been forming committees at the divisional level with the mission of ensuring uniform internet services from the center to the edge.
After the Khulna division of the Greater Bengal Delta, the national organization of Internet service providers formed a divisional regional committee in Mymensingh on Saturday. Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mostafa Jabbar administered the oath of office to the seven members of the committee at the town hall in the afternoon.
Imdadul Haque, president of the central executive committee, and Nazmul Karim Bhuiyan, secretary general, were present on the stage next to the minister during the installation program.
BTRC Director General Brigadier General Nasim Parvez, ISPAB Senior Vice President Saiful Islam Siddique, Md. Anwarul Azim, Joint-Secretary General, Md. Abdul Qayyum Rashed and Mohammad Anwar Hossain, Treasurer Md. Asaduzzaman and director Md. Zakir Hossain and other members of the executive committee were present among others on the occasion.
Earlier, the installation ceremony of the new committee started with the singing of national anthem and hoisting of digital red-green flag. Convener of Mymensingh ISPAB Regional Committee Kazi Sajjad Hossain Ratan, members Kaushik Dey Sarkar, Md. Wahid Morad, Md. Touhidul Islam, Oliur Rahman Riyad, AUM Ibrahim and Md. Ujjal Hossain were sworn in and handed over the crest of ISPAB.
