Like ‘Go Jack’ of Indonesia or ‘Ali Pay’ of China; this time in Bangladesh, local developers have created a complete super app ‘The Borak’. There are 71 types of ‘on demand’ services in combination of three apps. These include ‘Ride’, ‘Service’, ‘Food’ and ‘Product’ through these four main categories from motor ride to ambulance, grocer to electronics or cosmetics, food ordering, medical service, plumber or salon/beauty parlor services.
The Borak became the 17th company in the country to receive a ride-sharing license from the Bangladesh Road and Transport Authority (BRTA) on Sunday (April 10th).
It was informed that in this super app, apart from all types of transport services like car, bike, truck, bus, minibus, CNG, etc., all kinds of related services including tutor, nurse, electrician, mason, carpenter and beautician will also be available. The daily activities of every shop in Bangladesh such as transaction account, customer list, invoice preparation, order receipt, stock management etc. can also be done from this app.
Shafiul Alam Biplob, the founder of Borak Services Limited, said that this event is to give a digital touch to the life of every citizen of the dream digital Bangladesh and to give a unique experience of a complete super app. Our goal is to ensure digital services to citizens of all walks of life through this platform.
With the aim of The Borak, he said, “We dream that the expatriates from thousands of miles away would buy products on the occasion of Eid festival for their families from a local grocery store. Thousands of young people will change fortunes with digital services by capitalizing on their skills. Disadvantaged people will seek the services of experienced doctors in the city from remote areas like unrealistic movie scenes. Busy city employees will buy fresh vegetables directly from village farmers.
The Borak family will bring half of the country’s citizens under this service by 2026 and conquer the world beyond the borders of the country, he hopes.
Mohammad Selim Rana, Driver Success Manager of Borak Services Limited, said: “We want to see the ride sharing initiative as a humanitarian service, not a business. To this end, we have exchanged views with hundreds of ride sharing service providers in Dhaka, Sylhet and Chattogram and developed our software and programs based on their valuable feedback. We hope that The Borak will be on everyone’s side as real people and environmentally friendly service providers, replacing the traditional concept of ride sharing.
The Borak is going to create the world’s largest blood network where the blood of the desired group can easily be found in the need of life. About the Blood Network, Habib Morshed Iqbal, Director (Communications) of Borak Services Limited, said, “If people can find cars, doctors, food or other services from the app, why can’t they find the nearest blood donor to save lives?”
He added that The Borak is determined to make Bangladesh famous once again in the world by creating the largest blood donor network by connecting 50 million people of the country to The Borak system.
Rajeeb Hasan, Director (Engineering) of Borak Services Limited, said that The Borak is going to create a cashless ecosystem to bring digital banking activities to the doorsteps of the people and to buy and sell any of their services or products. That can be done.
Zulfiqar Chowdhury Rajib, Director (Operations) of Borak Services Limited said that 500 Upazila Entrepreneurs will soon be recruited in 500 Upazilas across the country to run The Borak’s activities across Bangladesh. New doors of employment will be opened at the marginal level. The far-reaching plan is to create income opportunities for the country’s school and college level students through tuition as well as part-time product delivery services so that The Borak can make a strong contribution to building an educated and hardworking nation.
In addition to The Borak’s website , service users and providers on Android phones can easily install this app from Google Play or the native app Marketplace App Bazaar.
