A group of children and teenagers visited the National Museum of Science and Technology on Sunday and took an oath to protect the climate. Led by the director general of the National Museum of Science and Technology, they said in one sentence, “We need to reduce carbon, reduce vehicle use, increase green technology use, reduce waste of energy, ride bicycles, protect green and save the world.”
Mohammad Munir Chowdhury, director general of the National Museum of Science and Technology, said the event was organized to make the younger generation aware of the environment and to be as bold as Greta Thanberg on the climate conference in Glasgow.
Earlier, the National Museum of Science and Technology organized a science lecture and quiz competition with the students titled ‘Reduce Carbon, Save Lives’. The winning students in this competition are Riya Akhter, Tanima Islam, Md. Yasin Sarkar, Iffat Humayra, Faisal Mahmud and Shimu Akhter. The winners are awarded at the end of the ceremony.
