The ‘Space Exploration Olympiad’ will be held next February with the aim of introducing our children to space science, space robotics, space technology and innovation, solar system, astronomy, stars and stellar phenomena, galaxies and cosmology.
On this occasion, a workshop to determine the academic activities of ‘Space Exploration Olympiad’ was held in the conference room of Vision 2021 Tower on Saturday afternoon. 100 educators from different parts of the country participated in the workshop organized by Bangladesh Innovation Forum and Space Innovation Camp.
According to the organizers, 8 data boot-camps will be held in 8 divisions in the Olympiad where children from all over the country will participate in each boot camp. The participants will be taught hands-on about the academic activities that will be based on the syllabus in the boot camps.
Later the children will be divided into 3 groups according to their age 6-8 years, 9-12 years and 13-14 years and the final exams will be held next February with those selected participants through 2 preliminary and secondary online exams.
Ariful Hasan Apu, Mission Chief of Space Exploration Olympiad, said about the event, “There is a lot of interest among children in science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics and computing. Today’s Educator Workshop for the Space Exploration Olympiad will be organized by our Educators across the country.”
He also said that the registration process for participating in the Space Exploration Olympiad will be launched very soon.
