Because this ban may create a crisis in the supply of electronic products that depend on imports. Big brands can be affected by this.
However, Apple and Samsung refused to comment on this matter.
In a notification last Thursday, the country’s government said restrictions on the import of laptops, tablets and desktop computers were immediately imposed to encourage local manufacturers. However, import of these products will be allowed only with a valid license.
Big companies like Dell, Acer, Samsung, LG, Panasonic, Apple, Lenovo and HP sell laptops in the Indian market. Most of which is imported from other countries including China.
